Derek Herrera

Derek Herrera was born in Los Angeles and raised in California’s High Desert region, where playing organized basketball taught him the structure, discipline, and perseverance that continue to guide his professional life. He went on to earn his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Riverside, before obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law. Drawn to personal injury law for its ability to create tangible, life-changing results for clients, Mr. Herrera has built his practice on a foundation of preparation, persistence, and principle.

Mr. Herrera’s approach to advocacy is straightforward: tell the truth clearly, build leverage early, and maintain trial credibility at every stage of the case. He is committed to presenting the full scope of a client’s story—from the human cost of an injury to the evidence that supports it—while holding himself and his team to the highest standards of honesty and diligence.
